Annual Yard Sale

Aside from the Adopt-A-Child program, an annual yard sale dubbed the “Hot As Haiti Yard Sale” is the largest fundraising event for the American Haitian Foundation.

Each August the World’s Longest Yard Sale on HWY 127 crosses over Signal Mountain, Tennessee.  The AHF participates in this sale, and all proceeds raised go towards the foundation’s efforts in Haiti. 

This project is mainly driven by St. Augustine’s Catholic Church on Signal Mountain.  The whole yard sale is made possible by people’s various donations either of items, money, or time.  There is a lot of work that goes into this project, and without it, the American Haitian Foundation would not be able to continue its good works in Haiti.  The yard sale is an opportunity for the church community to come together to work for the people in Haiti.  A real sense of community and teamwork found through working on this project enables a small parish to do many big things for people who truly need it.
